COURSE DESCRIPTION

INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTERS AND THE INTERNET

This course will explore the concepts required to prepare and deliver presentations. It will examine Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Sought-after candidates must hold an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, or a DEC with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position. Knowledge about Photoshop and Final Cut Pro is an asset. Candidates must also possess excellent spoken and writing skills in English, bilingualism is an asset.

DEADLINE : Applications must be submitted no later than 4:00 p.m. on June 4th, 2014

INTERVIEWS: Interviews will be held during the week of June 9th, 2014

INTRODUCTION TO FIRST NATIONS STUDIES: ANTHROPOLOGICAL PERSPECTIVES

This course introduces the students to various areas covered by the discipline (linguistics, biology, archaeology, etc.), and by focusing on cultural aspects, demonstrates the unique vision that anthropology contributes to social sciences.

INDIGENOUS KNOWLEDGE, TRADITIONS AND VALUES

The course aims to broaden students’ array of knowledge to effectively analyze various political, social, and religious traditions among the heterogeneous groups of First Nations communities from an anthropological perspective.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Sought-after candidates must hold an undergraduate degree in Anthropology; a graduate degree is a definite asset. Candidates must also possess excellent spoken and writing skills in English. Bilingualism is an asset.
